The math of hotness
Issue #165
Being a "walking contradiction" is a good thing. It means you are learning, stubbing your toes on things, gaining forward momentum. The perfectly consistent are called insects.
GM🦁 This is Andrew's Apples, the 2-min health email for those who think Tarantino peaked in 1997. OK. Let's go.
⛪ Religion didn't disappear. The Pew Center estimates that in 2020, about 64% of Americans, including children, were Christian. Islam is growing in the US, and so on. English historian Paul Johnson (1928-2023) famously said that the "outstanding event of modern times was the failure of religious beliefs to disappear." Sure, it has been well-documented that educated people are increasingly going secular. If this continues to be the case, reinforced by the social tendency of poor and middle class folks to copy the behaviors of the rich, we will be left with a huge vacuum. If physics has anything to do with it, the vacuum will get filled up. With something else. Marxism, environmentalism, bitcoin, piracy, who knows. But, until then, we have god. 🍎Andrew's Take. I am of the opinion that no belief system is perfect, but how many more people would be open to religion if it were taught not from reason, metaphysics, nor philosophy, but rather from a place of the senses and the heart? The heady alternatives listed above, to me, all sound like shit.
💅 Sorry but true. Men should be 15% body fat or lower. Women should be 17-22% (btw, all women, even skinny girls, have cellulite... just how God made y'all). Every male is attracted to hourglass figure while every female is attracted to V-taper. Every person on the planet prefers clear skin, full lips, and thick hair. The Man upstairs makes the rules. 🍎Andrew's Take. The good news? Aside from height, you can improve all of these things. Plain and simple. Drink water, hit gym, walk 10k steps daily, 7-8 hours of sleep (with mask on, nasal strip, magnesium before bed), 80% whole foods (largely fatty protein and minimal carbs), take a daily quality bovine collagen supplement for skin/nails/hair, and — crucially — google "facial symmetry" and you'll find dozens of easy non-surgical things you can do to enhance your MUG.
🕊️ Tweet of the Day. "Are those real or are those implants?" -Johnny Drama from HBO's Entourage. (IYKYK!!!) Calves aside, walking 5-6 miles a day (roughly 10-12k steps) is the easiest way to feel good, lose weight, and improve sleep. I know Pelotons are fawned over these days, but I prefer outdoor walks or even a treadmill at 3-4mph. Do it for a week. The results will speak.
