🎩 The pull toward Beauty. What would happen if you centered everything you did around beauty? I'm not just talking about makeup and looking hot a la Instagram... but I am also not not talking about that. Say, making your bed look beautiful, folding your clothes beautifully, writing an elegant text to a friend, putting together a sick fit before going out, cleaning your keyboard, creating a good meme, sculpting your physique. Like it or not, beauty demands respect (why people slow down in a museum or by a Wonder), and making things beautiful means - above all else - you have self-respect.
🗑️ Worst things to eat. Things are actually simple when it comes to what not to eat. Avoid: added sugar, wheat flours (the milling process removes the good fibers and fats), ultra-processed foods (70% of the grocery store), seed oils, and fast food. Collectively, these five devils confuse your body (1) on when it is satiated and (2) on how to produce energy so you are not napping all day. It's a nutritional hellworld.
😼 Smiles for miles. Smiles are sick sorcery. They work and they work well. If you don’t believe me, listen to John Prine’s 1971 classic, 'Illegal Smile': It don't cost very much, but it lasts a long while. RIP: that dude was onto something.
🕊️ Tweet of the Day. Look, everyone talks shit... we're monkeys and it's how we do. Lol, pretty hard to avoid entirely. But there is a line! If you are talking shit about your own spouse or about your "best friend" (especially) to a run-of-the-mill friend of yours, THAT IS NOT GOOD. One, it will get back to them indirectly at some point which will taint the relationship and, two, you are then pegged as someone who talks behind loved ones' backs just because. Kids stuff and a bad look.
