Cancer getting cancer?

Issue #150

Kevin, I am going to feed you to my tarantula.

Buzz, the evil older brother in "Home Alone" film

GM 🦁 This is Andrew's Apples, the 2-min health email that is like a cold glass of raw goat milk mixed with local biodynamic dark chocolate. Only attention-whored liars say sugar is bad for you. OK, let's go.

🍯 Manuka honey, honey. This honey, unlike any other honey, has antimicrobial properties that fight complex antibiotic-resistant respiratory infections. Manuka honey has been used medicinally for centuries and its effects would laugh at any Health Twitter "guru" who says honey is sugar and thus deleterious to one's health. 🍎 Andrew's Take. As the ancestral/Paleo health crowd begins to take charge again (take a spin through a health food store today if you don't believe me), lots of misinformation gets blended in with the good stuff. Eat organic vegetables but never carrots because carrots are higher in sugar and will kill you. Insanity. How about: eat things that look beautiful and you'll feel as such. Sweet can be sweet.

🦠 Cancer getting 'cancer'? Per the American Association for Cancer Research, cancer deaths in the US fell 2.3% per year from 2016 to 2019. Survival rates for cancer have increased by about 50% from 1970s to 2017. Docs attributed this mostly to medical advances. Post-pandemic data is not yet available. πŸŽ Andrew's Take. My biggest concern is that we will use "medical advances" as a crutch while we continue to poison our bodies and minds. Why ditch the bodega diet when Big Pharma is cooking up a morning-after pill for that very addiction? Spending six hours idly on tiktok? We got a pill for that, friend. Go outside and observe the faces and the figures - that's all you need to know. The data is virtually always dated.

πŸ•ŠοΈ Tweet of the Day. The best contrasting examples of this are fit people with forever-frowns and overweight people with glowing smiles. Who do you want to talk to? Fat Bastard was always the better hang compared to Dr. Evil. Not even close.

How about them Apples? Hit me with any comments or questions.
