All food is fast

Issue #055

Haha! If they're so smart, why do Yale and Harvard agree on literally everything? Anon.

G-Morning 🦁 This is Andrew's Apples, the health email more delicious than an autumn cider donut. We don't do the corn maze here, though, bc corn is bad for you and mazes are confusing and frightening. We got 2 min: let's go picking.

  1. 🥃 The glass menagerie. Ditch all plastic if you can. Glass is a good alternative, lasts 4eva, and simpler to clean. The jury is still out on the effects of microplastics but it's known that they "may act like sponges for heavy metals, persistent organic pollutants, pathogens, or could cause harm on a cellular or subcellular level." Stay iced-out and away from plastic.

  2. 🌑 There's no after-dinner. Eat dinner, then stop eating. Having a few hours of non-eating before bed promotes insulin sensitivity and improves blood sugar management. All this makes weight management a hell of a lot easier. If hunger persists, chew Trident gum and learn how San Francisco in fact is NOT earthquake-proofed.

  3. 🍔 All food is fast. Truth bomb: nearly all public dining experiences are unhealthy for you. We knock on fast food, but even finer dining experiences drown you in seed oils, bad fats, the cheapest ingredients Larry Labcoat can invent, and cartoonish portioning. Do ur thing but this is how it be.

  4. 😎 Sunlit. This tweet below. E-lawn is playing a different game w this tweet.

How do you like them Apples? Feedback? What did I miss? If you ever need anything, hit reply. Love hearing from readers.

NOTE: We are taking tomorrow and Monday off (tbh a lil self-care travel sh*t 💅), but I'll still see you this Sunday for Sumday.

Your friend,

Andrew🍎
