Got some work done

Issue #147

The 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes of screenwork, look at a spot 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This will reduce eye strain.

GM 🦁 This is Andrew's Apples, the 2-min health email that, in schizzed-out zoomer parlance, 'slaps'. Let's go.

  • πŸ”ͺ Got some work done. Scientists reporting to the FDA warned that breast implants can cause cancer. Seven million American women have implants with about 400k getting them annually (75% of which for aesthetics, the rest medical). Specifically, the FDA said that additional cancers can form in the scar tissue resulting from any implant, not just breast implants.

    • 🍎 Andrew's Take. Do your research whenever any foreign object goes onto or into your body. Capeesh?

  • 🍦 Most yogurt is candy. SO: all dairy contains lactose, its naturally occurring sugar. However most yogurt is flavored with added sugar… and usually a lot of it, folks. Plus, dairy itself tends to trigger the release of extra insulin (scientists don’t fully understand yet why this occurs) and high blood sugar. All of this spells weight gain, over time.

    • 🍎 Andrew's Take. This one is easy: just opt for a yogurt that is labeled as "Plain" and has 0g of added sugar. This applies to ~10% of the options in the grocery store. It's there, but you will have to flavor it yourself with organic fruit, nuts, a dab of honey, and cinnamon.

  • πŸ•ŠοΈ Tweet of the Day. Woah, gang, woah.
