A little brain foggy

Issue #050

G-Morning 🦁 This is Andrew's Apples, the health newsletter that makes you hotter naked (and smarter clothed). All in under 2 min. Let's go picking.

  1. 🌫️ A little brain foggy. Ever feel cloudy with no chance of clear skies? This absentmindedness or un-sharpness is what clinicians call "brain fog." It stems from all sorts of things, like C19, lack of sleep, little exercise, hormonal changes, even depression. Studies have observed that, more specifically, poor word recall and worse verbal memory are common among brainfoggy patients. Basically, you feel, think, and sound like an idiot. Not great! BUT there is an exit: eat low sugar/carb, avoid booze for a few days, get good sleep, and try a 16h fast if you aren't already practicing IF. Let's go clear.

  2. 🌾 People's Republic of Chia. The seeds from the chia plant, black or white in color, are super good for you. They're a "metabolic powerhouse" that help lower blood glucose, deliver essential nutrients, and sport a near-perfect fat profile (omega-3s) and a protein punch. Flavor is faint and they can be sprinkled on top of yogurt, a sweet potato, or a salad. I liken it to drinking lemon water: it's not write-home-about delicious but you know your body likes it.

  3. 🔨 Stupid simple strategies. Lose the lecture, no textbook needed gang. Building on a previous Apples Issue re high-leverage health tips, this video is good (those ten minutes are all you need). Sun, steel, avoiding seed oils (usually "neighbors" with other demonic ingredients), fasting somewhat regularly, and even donating blood to lower your stored iron. Steel: "The greater your muscle mass, the higher your survivability against all diseases, including cancer." Sun: exposure will make you sleep better due to triggered melatonin production, and will activate vitamins D and A. This small handful packs dense HEAT!

  4. 🌞 Summer dreamin. This tweet below. Lol. Sun this summer, my son.

How do you like them Apples? Feedback? Something you want covered? If you ever need anything, hit reply. Love hearing from readers.
